2023 PAULOWNIA - Cabernet Sauvignon

Napa Valley’s 2023 growing season was dubbed “the perfect vintage” after ideal weather conditions and an extended ripening period created exceptionally rich and expressive fruit. From an abundance of impressive selections we chose to blend from two vineyards at opposite ends of the appellation. One located in Calistoga, where warm weather lends flavor intensity; the other half coming from Oak Knoll, an area famous for fog, cool temperatures, and wines of great finesse. Composed entirely of free run juice, every nuance of this wine is distinguished by balanced acidity and fine tannins. Deeply colored and velvety on the palate, our 2023 Paulownia Cabernet Sauvignon boasts dramatic notes of sandalwood, dried thyme, licorice root, dark chocolate and freshly crushed blackberries followed by luscious flavors of black sour cherries, cocoa, and espresso.

Aged in 100% new French oak barrels 19 months.
